Cancelling your enrolment and course fee refunds

Enrolments are final. If the course is full you can register for a waiting list.

- If you are unable to start the course you have registered for, please inform the Helsinki Summer University office in writing and without delay either by email (info@kesayliopistohki.fi) or by post (Helsinki Summer University Office Kaisaniemenkatu 4 A 00100 Helsinki Finland). You are to fill out a refund form and return it to the Helsinki Summer University office as soon as possible. Refund forms can be obtained at the Helsinki Summer University office or they can be printed out at the Helsinki Summer University website.

- If you cancel your participation at least 21 days prior to the beginning of the course, 20% of the course fee (or a 20-euro minimum) will be charged as a handling fee.

- If you cancel your participation less than 21 days prior to the beginning of the course, the course fee will be charged in full.

- It is your responsibility to verify your enrolment status. The Helsinki Summer University will not automatically drop you from a course due to non-payment. Course fees are collectible (Law 706/2007).


You are entitled to course fee refunds if
1. The course in which you wish to enroll is full and therefore your reservation cannot be accepted.
2. The course or group which you wish to attend is cancelled due to few enrollments, the teacher being prevented by an illness, or a force majeure.
3. The schedule or requirements of the course are essentially changed.
4. You have made an overpayment.
5. You are unable to attend a course or an exam due to an illness. In such a case you are to provide the Helsinki Summer University office with a medical certificate together with a completed refund form.
In case of an illness you are to contact the Helsinki Summer University office without delay.The course refund form is then to be sent to the Helsinki Summer University office as soon as possible.

- If you seek for a refund due to your mistake in payment, you are charged a 5 euro handling fee.

- Refunds less than 5 euros are not made.

- The course fee will be refunded into the payer's bank account.
